# Find companies and people

## Ask Iggy

Iggy finds companies that fit and the people at them. Ask in the person's words, through `ask_iggy`:

- Companies: `ask_iggy {"prompt": "Find UK fintech companies hiring for growth roles"}`. Iggy says which claims are proven (a live ad) and which are only likely.
- People at companies: `ask_iggy {"prompt": "Heads of growth at those companies", "threadId": "..."}`. Pass the `threadId` from the company answer so Iggy looks in the companies it found, or name the companies or their sites yourself. Each person comes back with role, company and LinkedIn, never an email.

Both spend team credits (`get_prices` shows what paid lookups cost). A search big enough to need a yes is declined through `ask_iggy`, and Iggy says so: ask again for fewer companies or people.

## Adding what Iggy found

Iggy never adds companies or people from `ask_iggy`: adding anyone it found needs a person's yes in the Ignaru app. Show the person what Iggy found, then tell them where to say yes:

- in Iggy's chat in the app, where your `ask_iggy` conversation is in their chat history: they pick who to keep and confirm, or
- on the Leads page, with **Find people at companies**.

Do not copy what Iggy found into `add_leads` to skip that yes. Once they are added, `search_leads` finds them and `enrich_leads` gets checked emails.

## People you already have

- The person gives you names and emails: `add_leads` (up to 200 per call, merged by email; `dryRun: true` shows what would be added and what merged). Put why each one fits in `why`; Iggy uses it when writing.
- A Find step on a workspace: `signals` (hiring, funding and job changes) or `list` (a sheet, Airtable or CSV).

## Enrich

`enrich_leads` checks emails, roles and company facts, each with its sources. Take up to 25 leads by id, email or name. Run it with `dryRun: true` first: it answers with the most it could cost and the balance. Then run it for real. `explain_field` says where one value came from and why a guess was refused.

## Search what is there

`search_leads` takes text, a stage or a workspace and answers with the total, counts per stage (`byStage`) and `nextCursor` for the next page. `update_lead` changes a lead's stage or details by id, email or name.
